Thank you for making these things possible.

Dear RTC Family,

The success of 2024 would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our friends and partners. God’s faithfulness, your contributions and encouragement have been the bedrock of this ministry’s accomplishments. We are deeply grateful for your belief in the mission of Remember the Children and commitment to see it through.

As we began the year 2024, I found myself at a crossroads. My doctor informed me that I was suffering from exhaustion, and I was put on mandatory rest. The year evolved into a journey of recovery and better health – not only for me but for my wife, who faced a second diagnosis of cancer. This sobering health news forced us both to slow down, reflect and recognize that even the most resolute of us are not limitless. What initially seemed like a year of setbacks became an opportunity for profound reflection, intentional living and celebration. At the end of this year, we officially launched Eternal Families Tanzania as an independent ministry! We also were able to start new initiatives, including Praxis – a training conference for ministry leaders hosted by Eastern European Bible College in Romania. We also helped start new church plants and the next phase of the Eternal Families agricultural mission.

As we stand on the threshold of 2025, we are filled with anticipation and excitement. With the end of RtC’s work in Tanzania, God has once again called us to return our focus to the growing need in Romania. And you, our ministry friends, are part of that call. Thank you for remembering the children and thank you for your support in so many ways!

2025: Ministry on Mission

On Mission: Orphan Care

Christmas Outreach Program

by Alan Meneely

The 2025 Christmas Trip was a deeply rewarding experience, marked by heartfelt connections and meaningful moments. Our group, though small—comprising seven seasoned members—embarked on a weeklong journey filled with both familiar faces and new opportunities to serve.

We began our adventure in Satu Mare, where we celebrated Christmas with the House of Hope kids. This visit allowed us to reconnect with several orphan homes we had visited in previous years. It was especially touching to witness the lasting impact of our prior visits. At one particular home, the children remembered a team member from earlier trips and sent a special gift for us to deliver to him. These moments underscored the enduring relationships we have built and the genuine affection shared between our team and the children.

After our time in Satu Mare, we drove to Oradea with a mission to pack and deliver 600 gift bags. Our efforts were rewarded as we visited the children at Santandrei, shared fellowship with Agape Church, and spent quality time with the children of Caminul Felix. Having not visited Oradea for the Christmas trip in a couple of years, it was refreshing and nostalgic to return and rekindle friendships with those we had missed.

Throughout the trip, it was evident that our presence brought both gifts and love to the children we met. Our team members gained memories to cherish for years to come. The bonds formed and renewed during this trip reaffirmed the importance of reaching out and serving others with compassion and dedication.

I could not have asked for a better team to share the message and joy of Christmas in 2025. The collective efforts and heartfelt actions of everyone involved made the trip possible and meaningful. Above all, we recognize that Jesus Christ received all the glory and honor through our service. We are grateful for every individual who helped make the Christmas Trip 2025 a success, whether through direct involvement or support from afar.

On Mission: Leadership Development

Praxis 2: Leadership Training Conference

Ron Kastens, Academic Dean of Emmanuel Christian Seminary

I had the opportunity to serve as the plenary speaker for Praxis 2025, teaching on Spiritual Formation. I was amazed at the energy and passion for the church in those who attended the conference. The Romanians and Ukrainians I interacted with have just as much love for Jesus and ministry as we do. What they lack are opportunities for learning, growth, and development. Praxis provides such an opportunity for people who are hungry to learn and passionate to make a Kingdom impact in their country. I was so grateful to be a part of it and hope I’m privileged enough to participate in the future.

In an area where in-person Biblical training is scarce, we welcomed over 100 pastoral staff from Europe at the 2025 Praxis Conference held on the campus of Eastern European Bible College in Romania. Several ways that we saw Praxis, strengthen ministry leaders include:

  • Developing practical skills: These courses provide hands-on training in essential ministry skills like preaching, teaching, counseling, leadership, technical arts, communications, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and, allowing individuals to practice these skills in a safe and guided environment.

  • Preparing for real-world challenges: By simulating real ministry scenarios, students learned to navigate complex situations, make informed decisions, and respond appropriately to the needs of individuals and communities.

  • Building confidence and competence: Gaining practical experience through training and empowering individuals to confidently step into ministry roles, knowing they have the necessary skills to serve effectively.

  • Adapting to diverse contexts: Practical ministry courses consider the various contexts in which ministry happens, providing training that can be applied in different denominations, church sizes, and community demographics.

European Exponential - Berlin, Germany

Pastor Razvan Petrica - Oradea, Romania

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to attend Exponential Berlin. It was a truly enriching experience—not only because of the valuable content shared, but especially because of the people I had the privilege of meeting. The spiritual depth, humility, and passion for God’s Kingdom in so many conversations were both inspiring and encouraging. It was a powerful reminder of how God is at work through His people across different nations and contexts.

I also want to express my sincere appreciation to Andy Baker, Remember the Children, and all of Andy’s partners for the vision, effort, and generosity that made this conference possible. Every detail reflected a genuine desire to serve leaders, strengthen the Church, and create space for meaningful connection and growth.

I am especially thankful for Andy’s intentional decision to invite two young men from Oradea—both just 23 years old and full of potential to serve the Church in greater ways. For them, Exponential Berlin was a transformative experience, one that I believe will continue to shape their faith, vision, and leadership in the years ahead.

On a personal level, I am grateful for the equipping I received throughout the conference. My prayer is that what I learned there will bear fruit far beyond my own life and ministry, helping to strengthen and encourage the Church as a whole. I am also thankful for the new friendships and meaningful conversations that began during those days.

For all of this—the encouragement, the relationships, and the investment in future leaders—I am truly thankful.

On Mission: Church Planting

Agape Church Plant, Oradea, Romania

By Pastor Daniel Bagosi

I wanted to take a moment to share something special with you from this spring.

In April, we had the privilege of hosting a team from the U.S., led by Gerri Baker with RTC—and honestly, they were one of the most impactful teams we’ve had. They didn’t just come prepared with plans and resources—they came ready in heart and spirit.

Throughout the week, we spent time with children and women in our community—people who, in many cases, are carrying heavy stories. What stood out most was how this team showed up in those spaces. They didn’t rush past the moments—they leaned in. They listened. They cared.

Everyone on the team stepped into their role so faithfully, which allowed everything to run smoothly, but more importantly, it created space for real connection. And that’s where we saw the greatest impact.

One of the most meaningful times was a gathering we had with women from the community. The women on the team shared their personal stories so openly, and it truly touched something deep. You could see it—hearts softening, hope returning, a sense of “I’m not alone” settling in the room.

Even something as simple as sitting together and doing a craft turned into something more. Conversations opened up. Walls came down. It became a place of encouragement and connection in a very natural, genuine way.

I keep thinking about how moments like these happen—not just because a team comes, but because people like you make it possible. Your support is part of every conversation, every prayer, every life that was encouraged that week.

So truly—thank you. You may not have been in the room, but you were part of what God was doing there.

Impact Church’s Remarkable Year

By Pastor Adi Galiger

I found myself reflecting again on this past year, and I didn’t want to move on without telling you just how much your partnership has meant along the way.

When I think about everything that happened in 2025, it’s not just a list of events—it’s a reminder of how often God showed up through people like you. In so many of the moments that mattered most, your support was already there, making a way before we even stepped into them.

There were opportunities this year that helped shape and strengthen our leaders in ways we couldn’t have created on our own. Early in the year, time at the Exponential Conference in Orlando gave our team space to be refreshed and reminded of why we do what we do. That renewed sense of calling didn’t stay there—it came back with them and has continued to influence how we lead and serve.

A few weeks later, we saw that same spirit multiply as we hosted a roundtable here in Oradea. Leaders from 16 different churches and organizations gathered in one place, not to compete, but to encourage one another and build something stronger together. It was a quiet but powerful reminder that we are better when we walk in unity.

Personally, I also had the chance to spend time at the European Leadership Conference in Berlin. It was one of those moments where you step back and realize the wider story you’re part of—learning from others, building relationships, and being encouraged for what’s ahead.

And then there were the moments that are harder to put into words.

In September, over 120 young people came together for our youth camp. What began as a few days of connection and community turned into something much deeper. Many of them made decisions to dedicate their lives to the Lord. Those are the kinds of moments that remind us why this work matters so much.

We continued investing in those same young leaders later in the year during a retreat in November—creating space for growth, training, and honest conversations about what it means to lead well. You could see seeds being planted for the future.

And as the year came to a close, we had the opportunity through Operation Christmas Blessing to come alongside young people who needed to be reminded they are not forgotten—those from SOS Autism Oradea and the Children of the Promise program. It wasn’t just about meeting needs, but about showing up with care, dignity, and hope.

There’s one more piece I wanted to share with you personally. This year, I was able to take an important step in my own journey—becoming a member of the Evangelical Theological Society and attending their annual conference. It was a meaningful investment into my growth and preparation for what God may be calling me to in the future.

As I look at all of this together, one thing is very clear to me: none of it happens in isolation.

You’ve been part of the foundation under each of these moments—supporting, encouraging, and making it possible for us to say “yes” when these opportunities came.

I hope you know how much that matters.

Thank you for walking with us in this way. I’m truly grateful.

With appreciation,

Adi
