Frequently Asked Questions

How long is a trip?

Most of our short-term trips are between 2 and 3 weeks.

When are the trips?

We host teams all throughout the year.  However, we ask that each trip is books 12 months in advance.

What types of groups work with Remember the Children?

Our most common groups are from churches and colleges.  However, we welcome all types of groups-- from families, to organizations, to coworkers to communities.  Gather your people and visit our ministries!

What do you do?

Activities depend on the type of group and the time of year you serve.  In the summer, we typically teach Bible Lessons to kids in the villages and our orphan homes.  In the winter, we host Christmas parties for children.  If there is a specific project you're interested in, please let us know and we can customize a trip for your group.

I have a specific skill (dentist, doctor, carpenter, etc).  How can I use it?

Please let us know your skillset, and we would love to help you use your talent to impact the people of Romania and Tanzania.  We have worked with dentists, doctors, therapists, carpenters, and musicians in the past, and we currently have need for them in the communities where we serve.

How far in advance should I book a trip?

We ask that you book your trip 12 months in advance, to allow proper time to plan and organize your stay.

Jake's Story

β€œThe first time I worked with RtC was perhaps the strangest, and most transformative, adventure of my young life. Though it was acted out in a number of ways, our mission was simple: share as much love and hope as possible. In the people and places we visited I saw awe-inspiring beauty amidst unthinkable pain, and after one short month spent in Romania I knew my work was not yet finished. To return two years later was a true gift, and to never return again would be unimaginable. It is a strange privilege to have gained this love for a people so far away from home, a calling that for me feels very close to the heart of God.”
