Seven months after their launch as an independent ministry, we are excited to share with you how the ministry Eternal Families Tanzania is progressing.
Dear Friends,
Warm greetings from Village 1 and the Eternal Families Tanzania Dairy Farm! As the new farming season dawns, bringing with it the promise of growth and renewal, we are once again eager and purposed. Here are the highlights that come with profound gratitude.
Learning at Nane Nane:
The excitement of the new agricultural season is here! Four days ago, the annual Nane Nane farmers' show was unveiled. Today, a dedicated group from Dairy Farm hit the road to the show grounds in Ipuli. The team included our herdsman Mr. Luhumbika, our Dairy Farm Team Chairman Mr. William, our Dairy Project Lead Mr. Mark, the Head of Media and Communications Mr. Cornel, and four boys working at the Dairy.
Their mission was clear and crucial for our farm's success this season:
1. Seeds: Sourcing the best quality seeds for optimal crop yields a special look for yellow corn to feed the dairy cattle.
2. Cattle Feed: Exploring nutritious and cost-effective feed options for our dairy herd.
3. Plant Diseases: Learning about prevention and treatment to protect our crops.
4. Farming Practices: Discovering innovative and sustainable techniques.
5. Farming Equipment: Identifying reliable tools and machinery to enhance efficiency.
The trip was a resounding success! The team returned brimming with valuable knowledge, new contacts, and insights across all their target areas. This information is vital as we prepare our fields and care for our livestock in the coming months.
Strategic Insight: Visiting the Government Procurement Services Agency (GPSA):
An important part of the day included a visit to the Government Procurement Services Agency (GPSA). This state agency plays a key role in facilitating efficient, centralized procurement for government and supported institutions.
The team received understanding crucial services like:
- Clearing and Forwarding: Streamlining the import of essential goods.
- Managing Customs Clearance expressing Navigating import regulations, Centralized Logistics which is about optimizing the movement of supplies and equipment.
This visit represents a strategic step in exploring efficient and potentially beneficial procurement channels for the future needs of the Village and the Dairy Farm.
In other news, a beautiful act of community care, the Eternal Families Dairy Farm Team butchered a bull yesterday. The substantial yield of 146 kilograms of high-quality beef was thoughtfully shared among ten families within our Village 1 community. It’s a direct and tangible result of the farm's productivity supporting the well-being of the very children we serve.
None of this – the learning opportunities, the growth of the farm, the nourishing food for our children and families would be possible without your support. You ensures the well-being of our children in all aspects of life providing not just shelter and education, but also essential nutrition, healthcare and sustainable living through projects like our Dairy Farm. You are making lasting differences and God Almighty will bless you richly for your compassion.
As we reflect on the importance of caring for those in need, we are reminded of the words from the book of Proverbs;
"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done." – Proverbs 19:17
Your kindness towards the vulnerable children and families in our care is truly lending to the Lord.
We will keep you informed on the progress of the farming season and the ongoing work at the Dairy Farm and Village 1. Your prayers are highly appreciated.
Blessings
