Over the last week, Remember the Children hosted four Romanian couples at the Exponential Global Conference (EGC) in Orlando, Florida.
Exponential Global is the premier conference in the US totally focused on the topic of church planting. Experiences like this are unique for our Romanian friends as they do not have access to this kind of development and training in their homeland. I personally want to thank our RtC friends who donated to help make this trip possible for them!
Not only are the trainings and workshops beneficial, another thing that makes EGC meaningful is the emphasis on personal spiritual growth, times of intense and freeing worship, and a choice to publicly affirm the call to plant a church.
I was so encouraged to come back as a small group with these friends (pictured above) each night over dinner to debrief on the workshops we went to that day, what we learned and talk through our challenges and convictions. We also closed out each night praying together. This year, I felt a renewed spirit of camaraderie and commitment. Two couples also chose to publicly affirm the call to take next steps in their ministry.
Planting a church can be long, slow and discouraging at times. It is opportunities like this, thanks to your generosity, that encourage, inspire and refresh our team members for their next season of ministry. By investing in them, you are ultimately investing in the lives of the orphan children, refugees and communities they serve. Thank you!
