Imagine being homeless…and elderly.
Most of Romania’s growing elderly population is impoverished, struggling, and at times, homeless.
What We’re Doing…
Our friend and partner, Viorel Pasca, launched this ministry in 2006 with his wife, Simona. They watched a TV news story about homeless elderly that motivated them to action. Soon, they found eight elderly people living on the streets and invited them to live in their home. Today, they care for 65 formerly homeless elderly who now live in several makeshift nursing homes.
What You Can Do…
Your sponsorship gift of only $30 per month will help bring dignity, encouragement and compassion to a generation of Romanians who are
- widowed
- abandoned by family
- stuck in a cycle of poverty they cannot escape due to advanced age, poor health, or other circumstances.
Your monthly support will provide an Elder Orphan with
- a place to live
- daily nutrition
- medical care & supplies
- practical needs
- spiritual oversight
- administration
