AT-RISK CHILDREN

Kids with special needs are an unwanted demographic by many in Romania. They are not welcome in many public places, most of which do not have any handicap accessibility.

It’s difficult to impossible for the disabled to experience life the way most people do. This why we serve the Abandoned Children of Romania through physical therapy, integration activities and ongoing ministry programs.

After School Programs

We have a wonderful partnership with Children's Hope Romania.  We are currently helping set up schools in the Gypsy villages of Nusfalau, Ghida, Marca and Doh.  These programs currently have over 100 students, many of whom don't have monthly sponsorships.  A sponsorship of only $1.00 per day is enough to send a child to school!  Please consider joining us in this project!

Other partners…

Amicii…is the hub for these children and young adults who are dealing with their handicap and learning ways to live life fully. Located in a house near the center of town, Amicii provides Christian counseling for adults and children and a day center for kids/young adults with disabilities.

Formerly named Casa David, Amicii is the place young adults go after graduating from Casa Minunata, the school for kids with disabilities. From therapy exercises to swimming in the local pool to hanging out eating pizza in a restaurant, RTC is helping the disabled in Romania discover ways to live well.

Caminul Felix…translated means “Happy Home” and was the place where Andy Baker first visited in Romania. Mircea Toca and his wife Lidia have committed their lives to become the "new parents" to 15 displaced children, and there are five other couples in this small community that have done the same.
